A collection of our most frequently asked questions.

How does the whole potato stamping thing work?

Good question! Once we source a potato we’re excited to work with, we carefully cut it up and carve out a shape. Then, using nontoxic paints, we stamp out the shapes until we find one that looks just right. We then digitize the stamps to add some final touches and voila - our cards are ready for print!

Are you really donating a meal with the sale of each card?

You bet we are! At the end of each year, we tally up our sales and then make a donation to Action Against Hunger, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger. They provide the meals to children in the many communities that they serve! You can read more about what they do here: https://actionagainsthunger.ca/

How do you minimize food waste? Are you eco-conscious?

Creating a socially conscious business wouldn’t be complete without considering the impact that our operations make on our environment! We use 100% recycled paper envelopes, print all of our cards locally, nontoxic paints from a supplier who does not test on animals, and we safely compost the majority portion of the potatoes that we did not use to stamp.

Plus, we’ve got big plans to grow our own potatoes over at our farm! Yes, we have a real farm. Well, Adam and Leanne have a farm, and the rest of us just kind of hang out and visit.
